Miami and why YOU need to be in Cape Town! :)

Okay... So I'll admit it! I'm so bad at actually sticking to this blog writing.. Now things are slowly starting to calm down I promise I will be more active!

So I thought I'd do a quick blog post on our last FREE success trip to Miami back in march! I'm sure a lot of you would have already seen pictures and found a lot of us extremely annoying talking about everything our amazing company had put on for us. I wanted to blog about this as Cape Town qualification is SOOOOO close now and wanted to give you another insight as to WHY this trip was so special and WHAT you have to look forward to in Cape Town.

I know a lot of people will agree with me but a lot of us had been working towards this trip for a year and a half and finally that dream became a reality! Even better we could bring a plus one and share the same experience! Me,  Jason and a lot of my business partners headed on our FREE trip to Miami!! Well, all I can say really was the whole 5 days were honestly 5 star treatment with everything covered, EVEN SPENDING MONEY. We didn't pay for a single thing (Apart from the things we brought ourselves on our shopping trip of course)

Day 1 - We arrived in Miami and was greeted by our own driver who was suited an booted with our names on a card, it was so posh! Then we arrived at our hotel for the 5 days - Lowes, (Check it out, such a beautiful hotel) When we arrived we had red carpet treatment and as the door of the car's opened there was photographers there snapping up everyones reactions and excitement! We got checked in, handed 2 bags which contained our beach towels, beach shoes, products andddd SPENDING MONEY!! We headed to the room and started to unpack and get ready for the evening event. Before I started unpacking there was a knock at the door and again was handed another bag FULL of our products (over £200) That evening, we had a welcome evening in the Hotel garden waiting for everyone to arrive. There was live music and the food was incredible. We also had a surprise guest, Sandy Tillotson who is Co founder of the company I'm partnered with! It was great to meet her and have a brief chat.

Day 2 - Which was by far my favourite day! We were up and out early, jumped on the coaches and headed to the Keys - We were greeted by locals who took us out to the Sandbar's for the day on their boats. On the Sandbar, we had a DJ, BBQ and Cocktails... YES, in the middle of the sea. I honestly cannot describe how amazing this experience was, surrounded by your closest friends, having a party in the sea in Miami, unreal!! We also had paddle boards, and Canoes just to chill on when feeling like dancing got to much πŸ™ˆπŸ˜œ. The only downfall was all of us being so excited and forgetting to actually put on sun cream, so yes, getting carried away drinking, dancing and forgetting to reapply! Because the sun was so hot and the water was so cool you didn't realise how hot it was so a lot of us woke up with a lot more than red noses! One thing that really blew my mind was that our company are the only corporate company to hire the whole of the sandbar, crazy!!

We headed back after a long day and that evening we had a free evening so before we went out in Ocean Drive, I booked for a few of us to head to a place called Mangos. We had dinner here with cocktails and live latin music and dancers! It was so much fun, would highly recommend going here if your heading to Miami.

Day 3 - We had an early breakfast and headed to a conference, finding out all the info on the company and everything that had happened over the past few months and the vision for the following months and years to come. That afternoon we had the Miami Heat Basketball game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. To be honest, when this was first announced months before this was something that I wasn't to phased about as I'm not really in to basketball, but again WOW what an amazing atmosphere. Again, we hopped on the coaches and headed to the arena... the fun an unexpected part, they didn't want us getting held up in traffic and missing the game so we had our own police escort all the way to the arena, stopping traffic so the 3 coaches could whizz through... crazy!! We had our own entrance so we could get in a lot quicker and didn't have to fight the crowds, then as soon as we got in we also had our own section cornered off with our brand logo all on the big screens. We were seated and had food and drinks before the game.  I didn't know what to expect and have seen loads of films which gave me a rough idea, but being films, I thought this was dramatised... So after each round (haha i don't even know if thats the right term...) it was just like the films.. There was different cheerleaders! They even done a celeb spot and zoomed in on celebs in the crowds! The whole experience was nothing like I expected, so upbeat, people screaming and dancing! It was so much fun! This is something that I would never have though of doing, but after experiencing it, I would 100% rush back!

Day 4 - We had a free morning so we had breakfast and headed to the beach! After a few hours of lying, soaking up the sun me and Jason decided to head towards Ocean drive and go shopping! After being all shopped out (Mainly looking for a bowtie for Jason for the Gala evening) We headed back to the hotel to get ready for the Gala evening and recognition. It was so lovely meeting everyone in the lobby looking all savvy and dressed up! We had some quick pictures and then headed to the Biltmore Hotel where we had dinner and dance. Please google this hotel.. when we pulled up everyone quickly grabbed there phones to take pictures. Its so beautiful! Everyone looked amazing and the venue, food and recognition was perfect! It was really emotional seeing how far everyone had come over the past year! There was pictures all on the big screens of our time in Miami, it was great looking back on our time there.

Day 5 - Another free day. A few of us headed to the Dolphin Mall and shopped till we dropped!! Everyone had different flights home so as the day went on there was less and less people around. The fun part was trying to squeeze in everything we brought shopping in our case!

This is just a small insight as to what the company I'm partnered with do for us distributors. You receive a trip like this when you reach one of the first big milestones in our business.. and really all you have to do is help and support 4 people. It will probably be one of the hardest things you'll do, but my god is it rewarding. And like I said.. this is only the first part of the business, theres so much more the company do for you, different bonuses, recognition all sorts. The best part, last week they announced that they will now be having not just 1 trip a year but now... TWO success trips a year!!!

Cape Town qualification is soon approaching! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE (if your already working towards this)  work harder so you will 100% be on this trip!

If your not already partnered with this company, you need to message and get in contact with me (or whoever has shared this blog) and make sure you ask for info, go to a local event and find out what the company is really about.

I've been partnered with this company 20 months now and its been thee best decision I've ever made. This trip is just a small part of who this company are and what it has done for me and my family. I'm now financially free at 26 years old and spend most of my time with my family and friends deciding when and where I want to work. I could honestly talk forever as to WHY you need to find out more and join this FREE opportunity, but maybe that will be another blog post..

For now.. contact me for details :)

Marbella and why you should never, never, never, never...QUIT!

Okay, so I know its been FOREVER since I last done a post but to be honest, the past few months have been CRAZY busy.. I want to write a post on all of them so I won't give to much away, I'll need to back track a bit...

Today was a really weird one for me.. I just got back from Marbella Success summit on Monday which I'd been away for a week training, leaning and celebrating success (that will be another blog post)  but today really did feel like a normal day. I was super excited to go for my first Reiki session (which has been rearranged) so I had some free time. I was over Bedford way so I called Tom to see if he wanted to go for breakfast. Me, Mel and Tom all went to Frankie and Benny's and just started talking (as you do) but really reflecting on our time in Marbella. Weirdly enough.. It had been on all our Time Hop's on Facebook that 1 year ago today was the day we flew out to Marbella for the Success Summit. Now, I now it sounds really clichΓ© when people say this but this trip 1 year ago changed my life, now let me explain how...

This time last year I had just reached lapis Executive which is the 3rd milestone in our business. I headed to my first Success Summit with 4 of my team members, but before this trip, I was really questioning was this business really worth as much time I was putting in to it. I worked full time for my partner in his vintage and retro clothing store 'Gone Retro', picking, packing orders, listing items on ASOS, modelling the clothes, making and reworking some of the clothes and helping him with his book keeping. At this point, I was also working on my mobile makeup and beauty Business 'Minimal Effort' and would work 5 days a week 8.30am-5.30pm at Gone Retro and then my first client would be at 6.30pm until sometimes 1/2am. I was working evenings and weekends on this PLUS my sideline business I would fit in on my lunch breaks, before I'd start work at 8.30am, when i'd finish work at 5.30pm and until I'd drive to my first client for 6.30pm and then when I got home before bed. basically I didn't even have time to eat let alone breath - This is exactly why at the time I was thinking I was spending to much time on my sideline business and needed to focus elsewhere. I started to slow down and reevaluate what I wanted and what I needed to do to move forward. I stepped back from Gone Retro and was working 4 days a week there so I could focus more on Minimal Effort. In March 2015 I was paid the highest amount of commission at that time from my sideline business and it was my mum that actually said to me 'focus more on this as this is what will pay you more than you can imagine in the future'. She was completely right, as the month before I really slowed down, I lost focus as I wanted to push Minimal Effort further. So looking back on that commission statement I was thinking to my self,  'is this correct - it must be a mistake? I really don't deserve that as I don't feel as though I've worked my hardest..' thats the point of this business and if your sitting there questioning the same thing then you need to go and read a book called the compound effect by Darren Hardy and it will help you understand leverage and how this business is a compound effect. Im so grateful for my mums advise that day!!

I decided to put all my time in to my sideline business and Minimal Effort as they worked hand in hand together.

Its now April 16th 2016 I got home from Marbella Success Summit on Monday, I was there as  a Diamond Executive (one way from the top of the compensation plan) with over 90 people in my team! I was also asked to present a workshop section on the Friday morning to ver 2,000 people.

Today at breakfast with Tom and Mel, I checked my commission statement (I have tears in my eyes writing this) and I can officially say that I'm now a 6 FIGURE A YEAR EARNER!!! From a FREE business opportunity, which I worked on as a sideline business to begin with around my work, lifestyle, full time job and my own business. So, please no-one ever tell me you don't have time!!! You just need to Make Time if you really want this.

The reason I'm writing this blog, is because I know theres a lot of people out there feeling how I felt this time last year, you feel like your putting in a lot of time and effort and not getting anywhere. Thats not true. The hard work your putting in now, is the money your going to be getting paid from for the rest of your life!

You start because you either want time or financial freedom, but you stay because of the people you 'work' with. They become your best friends, your support, your family. I just love the fact that I'm able to help others do the same, support them, show them that theres a better way from a free opportunity... yes, it still baffles me too!! haha

If it was easy, everyone would be doing it..

The only difference between the people who fail and the people who succeed, is that the people who succeed never gave up through the toughest times!

Never, Never, Never, Never - QUIT!

Peace and Love - Sarah xo

The beginning of the year - The best time to reflect on the previous year!

Okay, So to start with I'm just going to throw it out there and say WOW, I'm literally blown away by the response I received with my first Blog post. I honestly didn't expect that amount of support from everyone and as I've logged on today to write another one, it said I've had over 860 views! I just want to say thank you so much for taking time out to read my blog! I'm so happy!

Now the hard part... trying to top the first one! haha!

Here it goes!

Well lets just say December has been an interesting crazy month! So much has happened and today 1st January I thought would be the best day to reflect on everything that has happened over the past year. I'm just going to start off with December.. Me and my Boyfriend Jason have had a crazy month. We put an offer in on our first dream home, it was accepted and now we just have to wait until the 4th for the paperwork to all be finalised! It honestly wasn't as straight forward as that, I wish it was, but this month has been hugely stressful but we received the best news on Boxing day! This still dent feel real and I'm so excited to just get moved in and have our very own first home together with Reg our boxer dog.

In December, I also got to interview one of my biggest inspirations within my business, his name is Kenton Worthington and he lives in Utah, America. Kenton has such an great aura, he's kind and willing to help and inspires everyone! Kenton has been in the business since he was 28 but was first introduced to network marketing when he was 22. He is in the $5million circle earner since 2012 and has been a Team Elite since 2008. He came on one of our conference calls where I had the privilege to interview him with over 150 people listening in. The feedback we received after was amazing and I'm so happy I was able to tick that off my list of things to do!

A few other things that happened in December was that I registered my business as a Limited Company which is a huge milestone for me and a great achievement. To think only after 2 and a half years I'm now able to have my own limited company at 26 feels amazing! My friend also got me and a few other friends Justin Bieber tickets, I'm so excited, but I'm sure for a lot of you, you don't feel the same haha! I was able to spend New Years with some of my good friends, I wasn't exactly barrels of fun (due to having the flu) but we had Secret Santa and the presents this year were amazing. My friends Carrie even made a 'Pimp your Prosecco' table where we could add different fruits to our Prosecco, it was so much fun! Jason was Ill over Christmas and then he gave it to me over New Years so the past 4 days I've spent in bed watching documentaries, which actually leads me to another 'new' thing. I've decided to go Vegan, or at least give it a go! I watched a few documentaries but there was 2 which really stood out for me. One called 'Cowspiracy' and another called 'Food Matters' which are both on Netflix. If you haven't seen these already, I'd definitely recommend watching them as they were both huge eye openers for me! I'll have to keep you up to date with how this is going as I know its going to be super hard!  I'm taking it slow, so to start with I'm cutting out dairy and replacing milk for soya! Another HUGE milestone within my business was that I have been rewarded an all expense paid trip to Miami for me and Jason in March 2017! I'm over the moon as this was a goal I set back last year and I've been working towards it all year. To finally have it in the bag along with loads of my business patterns and friends is an amazing felling!! My team this month have done amazing and its inspiring to see everyone reach their goals!

So that's all for December (see why I said it was crazy!) now moving on to the past year, reflecting, what I'm super grateful for and all my goals which I've achieved in 2015... (Sorry if I've repeated myself)

  • Brought a new car (not my dream car, that will be this year 2016)
  • Brought a MacBook Air
  • Brought a new iPhone 6s
  • Qualified for an all inclusive holiday to Miami for me and a partner being paid for by the company I'm partnered with
  • Cleared up my acne
  • Overcome my fear of public speaking (never presented before March 2015)
  • Presented to over 600 people
  • Reached my freedom number within 5 months of writing it down (gave myself a year to reach this)
  • Reached Gold executive
  • Reached Lapis executive
  • Reached Ruby executive
  • Reached Emerald executive
  • Reached Diamond executive (1 away from the top of the comp plan)
  • Saved over £25k for investment and deposit for a house
  • Brought our first home
  • Holiday to Mauritius
  • Holiday to south of France
  • Working holiday/training in Marbella
  • Holiday to Mallorca
  • Went to global convention in Utah and was recognised on stage in front of 15,000 people for reaching Emerald Executive, when in actual fact I reached Diamond, but at this point had no clue!
  • Full time in my business being my own boss and helping others do the same (last year I had 1 weekend away to Amsterdam for mine and my partners b-day, I couldn't afford time off work being self employed and was too busy to take time off)
  • Made the bestest of friends
  • Work around my lifestyle, instead of fitting my lifestyle around my work
  • My business turned into a global business without evening visiting more than half the places where my business is growing
  • Interviewed a huge inspiration of mine
  • Started my first blogMy makeup work featured in Wonderland magazine for an Alexander McQueen shoot
  • Worked on a film set doing the makeup for another film
  • Justin Bieber tickets
  • More family time and being able to pick my niece up from school
  • Multiple of rubies plus in my organisation
  • Took off over 2 weeks off work over Christmas. This is the first time I've ever had time off over this period, so grateful to spend it with friends and family!
  • Met some of the most amazing people globally and have built lifelong friendships!

Now this isn't to brag about what I've achieved because to be honest it all still feels like a big dream. It's so show that what I'm doing is real and it's working and it's down to hard work an commitment! I'm just so thankful that Jason put me in to contact with Emma who literally changed my life in so many personal ways and I can't thank them both enough and to my team who have literally put the UK on the map within our business!
What a crazy year! Here's to a bigger and better 2016, as they say...
'start as you mean to go on!'
I'm working from my phone, in bed, with the flu! This business gives me the freedom to work from home even when I'm sick! I've rewritten my goals and I'm looking forward to reflecting on them on January 1st 2017 to see how far I've come again.
Happy new year πŸŽ‰ I hope you all achieve what you want in 2016!

First blog - Here it goes..

So, here it goes! I never thought I would in a million years be sitting here writing a blog. I don't really know why but its just not like me to express myself this way, as really I'm no good with words! There's a few things that have really changed for me over the past year or two and I just feel the need to share them with whoever takes a moment to read this..

Now I'm not expecting hundred's and hundreds of people to subscribe, but if just one person reads this and it makes and impact on their life for the better then I will be super happy!

So just to introduce myself. My names Sarah and I'm a 26 year old Accredited Makeup Artis and Beauty Therapist living in sunny Milton Keynes - England. I started my own business (again, another thing I NEVER thought I would do) back in January 2014 at a push by my really successful and inspiring boyfriend who, at the time had 1 business which he started from his bedroom.

Now, lets rewind a bit... At school, lets just say I wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but I managed to get through okay'ish? Well, I did want to stay on and do my A-levels, not because I perticularly enjoyed school but mainly because my friends at the time were staying on and I didn't want be the only one leaving... Lets just say leaving school at 15 after my GCSE's was probably the best thing I could have ever done...

I went to college at the end of summer 2005 and studied Beauty Therapy NVQ L2&3. I was such a tomboy and really wanted to join the Police force but to apply you had to be 18 and I was years off that. Beauty Therapy was the last thing I wanted to do. My mum was adamant I went to college to do further studying and at the time of applying there was no other free spaces in any other course.. so Beauty Therapy it was! Who would have thought, 10 years later I would have my very on Makeup and Beauty Business called Minimal Effort, alongside another successful global Anti-ageing and well-being business. With both businesses I've been lucky enough to work on various different films and my absolute fave, editorial magazine shoots! I also do more personal work like weddings and special occasions which are always fun. Without fail, when I've done a bridal makeup, as soon as she puts her dress on, theres little old me trying to hide behind my brushes whilst cleaning them with tears running down my face! Don't judge, it can be an emotional day!

I'm a happy, laid back girl with a creative side. I used to hold back on this a lot as I never thought my work would ever be good enough. I was just limiting myself with fears which I created. I've had a few different jobs where I never really settled. The longest I worked somewhere was for No7 for just over 4 years. I loved this job! I was No7's Makeup Artist and I also helped launch our very own Beauty Boutique (which offered nail treatments, waxing and threading), It was good fun! When it came down to doing Makeovers, Im such an honest person, if someone was looking for something and I knew No7 didn't have it and another brand did and a lot better than ours, I would always think of how my makeup work would look as well as how they wanted it, I always strived for the best results, yeah I'm a bit of a perfectionist! I left there because of the long hours, being on my feet all day, working weekends and all over Christmas. I didn't really get to see much of my friends and family and at the time my sister had a baby and I wanted to see more of my niece. To be honest, there was a lot more reasons as to why I left, I wear my heart on my sleeve and when I don't agree with something or how things were slowly changing for the worst, I would be the first to step up and say something. I don't think this went down to well with the managers as I wasn't seen so much as a 'Yes' person. I hated being told what days and times I would be working, when i could take my holiday, when I could go on my lunch.. things quickly then started to irritate me so then I decided to leave and start an office job where it would be 'easy' sitting down all day,  drinking tea and coffee, the 9 to 5 hours and weekends off... Wow how I was wrong... BIG MISTAKE! actually, I take that back, not a mistake, just a lesson well learnt...

My boyfriend Jason then took me under his wing, and saved me from that hell hole haha I'm being dramatic.. but I really didn't enjoy it there. For the next 2 years, I worked at Jason's shop Gone Retro. I multitasked here, from modelling the clothes, taking pictures of the models, doing orders and packing, doing the book keeping and accounts and also Jason actually taught me how to sew, so I would reworked a lot of the clothing and then have them sent out to customers. I loved sewing and I do actually miss doing this daily! The paperwork, I didn't like so much, Im not a numbers person, I like to be more hands on! It was about a year and a half working here when Jason said to me 'You should start your own business and really pick up on your makeup and Beauty work'  I already had a few regulars, doing brows and makeup now and again. I started thinking about names, branding, the image and how to really get it started, I posted a few things on Facebook (which I was super nervous about, I wanted to die of embarrassment and the obvious one, the 'fear' of rejection) I created a page, an Instagram and lastly a website which I'll proudly say I made myself (another thing I never thought id be able to do) it snowballed from there.. :D

Ive honestly wrote a lot more than I thought I would.. I just wanted to give an insight to a bit of my background, work and who I am and what I'm like! I'm looking forward to doing weekly posts on my business, lifestyle and just genuinely my day to day life. Hopefully this will inspire you all to follow your dreams and not to just stick at doing things if deep down your really miserable! life is too short to spend your working day in a job which makes you unhappy, after all, you spend the majority of your day time there!

Enough from me, I promise this will be the longest one i'll do

Sarah - xoxo
